One. Steps for replacing the faucet valve.
1. Preparation work
The valve is broken. First, you need to purchase a new valve to replace it. The new valve must be compatible with the water tap. Generally, you can find replacement valves at stores that sell parts for the same brand of water tap. Prepare a flathead screwdriver, a Phillips head screwdriver, or an Allen wrench, as well as a pair of needle-nose pliers and a small knife.
2、Remove cold and hot water control buttons
Before replacing the valve, first locate the water supply switch for this faucet and turn it off to prevent water from spraying out during the replacement. Next, find the cold water button or plastic cap and use a small knife to pry it open, revealing the screws inside.
3、Remove handles
After turning off both the hot and cold water buttons, examine the screws to determine their shape: whether they are flathead, cross-head, or hex-head. Then, select the appropriate screwdriver or Allen wrench. Remove the screws from the valve body using a screwdriver, and this will allow you to remove the faucet handle.
4、Remove valve core
After removing the handle, you can see the valve. Some valves have a fixed outer shell that needs to be removed. Then, you can see the retaining clip, which usually has four claws. Use the jaws of the pliers to clamp two claws, then rotate clockwise to remove the clip.
5、Installation
After removing the valve components, the faulty valve can be removed and replaced with a new one. To reverse the process, the other components can be reassembled, and the faucet handle can be installed. Then, activate the water supply valve and check for leaks. once the leaks are resolved, tighten the handle and install the cold and hot water plastic caps.

How to replace an old faucet valve:
1. When replacing an old faucet valve, first turn off the main water supply. Then, remove the red and blue markings on the faucet handle, use a flathead screwdriver to unscrew the fixing screw, remove the handle, use a wrench to disassemble the faucet valve, and remove the ceramic valve inside.
2. After removing the valve, you will see a blue rubber ring at the bottom of the valve. Typically, the valve on the left has a red rubber ring, while the valve on the right has a blue rubber ring. After replacing the valve, insert the handle, adjust the direction of the handle, and when the handle is oriented towards the two sides, it is for closing the water. When you stand facing the handle, it is for opening the water. Install the screws and cover the blue cover on the right side, which completes the replacement of the new valve.
How to replace a leaking faucet valve:
1. To replace a leaking faucet valve, first detach the faucet from the water pipe. Use a small knife to remove the nameplate from the top of the faucet. Then, use a screwdriver to loosen the screws.
2. By unscrewing the screws and pulling out the faucet switch, you can clearly see the faucet valve, which can then be replaced. During the unscrewing process, if the screws are rusted, they may be difficult to remove. Adding a few drops of vinegar or soda can help loosen them.
