One、Will stainless steel cabinets rust?
Stainless steel is resistant to rust, but rust can still occur.
Not all stainless steel can withstand corrosion in any environment and will not rust. Stainless steel cabinets have a very thin, strong, and stable chromium oxide layer that prevents further oxygen penetration and oxidation, thereby achieving rust resistance. If this layer is damaged, oxygen atoms from the air or liquid can penetrate the metal, or iron atoms can be released from the metal, forming loose iron oxide, which causes continuous corrosion of the metal surface.

For example, organic substances such as vegetable juices, soup, and saliva adhering to stainless steel surfaces, in the presence of water and oxygen, form organic acids that corrode the metal surface over time.
Alternatively, the accumulation of acidic, alkaline, or saline substances on stainless steel surfaces, such as alkaline or lime water splashes from painted walls, can also cause localized corrosion.
Two. How to remove rust from stainless steel cabinets.
1、Manual rust removal
Using tools such as scrapers, hand hammers, steel brushes, sandpaper, and abrasive materials to remove rust and stains through scraping, shoveling, and grinding. This method is simple and cost-effective, but it has drawbacks such as high labor intensity, low work efficiency, unstable quality, and poor working environment.
2、Mechanical Rust Removal
Using hand-held electric grinders, electric brushes, and pneumatic brushes for rust removal offers high removal quality and efficiency. However, these tools require manual operation, resulting in high labor intensity and are not suitable for complex or precision parts, or for large-scale rust removal.
3、Lemon juice stain removal
Use lemon juice to remove rust from stainless steel. Apply lemon juice to a cloth and scrub the rusted areas of the stainless steel. Repeat the scrubbing process several times to achieve the desired rust removal effect.
4、Remove embroidery marks with toothpaste
Some stainless steel cabinets may exhibit signs of rust, which can be removed by gently scrubbing along the grooves with toothpaste, applying even pressure, until the rust is completely cleaned off.
