One, Should polished bricks be re-waxed?
1、 Required. After polishing tiles are newly laid and cleaned, although the surface appears smooth and glossy, fine pores are exposed. Over time, dirt and dust can easily penetrate the pores of the polished tiles, and areas with frequent foot traffic are prone to wear and tear. After wear, the pores enlarge and become more exposed, making it easy for oil, dirt, and dust to penetrate, which is very difficult to clean. This leads to a decrease in gloss and smoothness, and a dirty appearance on the tiles. To prevent this, it is important to regularly apply polishing tile wax to create a protective layer on the surface. This layer seals the pores, improves the abrasion resistance of the polished tiles, and helps maintain their new appearance for a long time.

2、Old polished tiles require more waxing.Old tiles are prone to harboring dirt and bacteria due to their porous surfaces. Applying wax aims to seal the surface and eliminate pores formed by prolonged wear, preventing dirt and bacteria from accumulating and improving gloss and abrasion resistance. This also enhances hygiene, prolongs the lifespan of the tiles, and protects the health of family members.
Two. Can polishing bricks and applying wax make them appear brighter?
Polishing bricks and applying wax can better protect the brick surface. During construction, it prevents dirt from entering the pores. After removing the wax, it enhances the brick's gloss, and more importantly, it fills the pores on the brick surface, making it easier to clean regularly.
Three. What type of wax is best for polishing bricks?
1、General anti-fouling wax:This wax can be applied to polished tiles by simply wiping it on with a cloth. It is easy to apply and penetrates into the pores, then solidifies. However, a drawback is that excess wax that does not penetrate into the pores needs to be removed (typically by using talcum powder or fine powders to slowly rub it off). Otherwise, it can affect the polished appearance of the tiles and interfere with cleaning.
2、Ultra-Clean & Shiny:This wax finish has a nano-level fineness, offering excellent stain resistance, and can also enhance the luster and texture of the brick surface. However, the manufacturer must apply it using a soft abrasive tool during production. Therefore, when purchasing bricks, it's important to check if they have been treated with "Super Clean & Bright" (a surface treatment agent). Bricks treated with "Super Clean & Bright" should have a luster of 90% or higher to be considered high-quality (ordinary polished bricks typically have a luster of around 60).
