One, how to inspect a fully customized home
1、Inspect hardware
Hardware is the backbone of custom furniture, determining the quality of life for decades to come. During acceptance, be sure to first inspect the hardware components:
Check for smooth surface and intact electroplating. Inspect for any wear and tear. Test all sliding components, such as pull-out racks and rails, hinges, etc., to ensure smooth operation and check for any looseness. All exposed sharp corners on cabinet surfaces must be rounded. Metal parts must be sanded to remove any burrs and sharp edges in areas accessible to personnel.

2、Signboard material
Inspect the boards for flatness, smoothness, and secure edge sealing. The board thickness determines the lifespan of the cabinet; the standard thickness should be 18mm, and the density should be 0.6–0.9 g/cm3. Check if the adhesive application is even on the decorative components of the board edges and surfaces. Verify if the visible ends of the side panels, door panels, and drawer fronts are properly sealed. During assembly, ensure that the drilling is precise and neat, and that there are no gaps or looseness when connecting flat surfaces to end faces.
3. Inspect the appearance
- The panels should have no color variations.- The positions of cabinets, such as kitchen cabinets and wardrobes, should comply with the drawings and should not be changed arbitrarily.- The arrangement of the cabinets should be consistent and harmonious. The countertops and hanging cabinets should be level.
4、Check for secure adhesion
The gap between adjacent cabinets, base cabinets, and tall cabinets should be secured with cabinet connection components. The tolerance for offset between cabinets should be ≤1mm. When pushing or pulling a cabinet, the hanging cabinet should not wobble. The range hood should be horizontally fixed to the wall or connecting plate, and after connecting the power supply and operating for 5 minutes, there should be no abnormal sounds or vibrations. The countertop and cabinet should be securely connected and should not move.
5、Environmental performance testing
New furniture will inevitably emit some odors after installation, but if these odors persist even after prolonged ventilation, it is necessary to contact a professional testing agency or use self-testing equipment to measure indoor formaldehyde emissions and other harmful substances. The latest environmental testing report indicates that formaldehyde emissions ≤1.5mg/L and moisture content is between 5-11%. For many consumers, final acceptance is a significant challenge, testing both their meticulousness and patience.
Two. What to do if the full-house customization acceptance is not passed.
If the entire home customization project fails the acceptance inspection, you can request rework until it is completed satisfactorily. Please note that if the entire home customization project fails the acceptance inspection, do not sign the contract or pay the final payment. If the construction company refuses to rework, you can call the 12315 Consumer Association hotline.
