One: Can the entire wardrobe reach the ceiling?
Achieving a ceiling-mounted wardrobe offers several advantages. Firstly, it maximizes storage space. A custom-built wardrobe reaching the ceiling enhances the overall aesthetic and creates a more spacious and visually appealing interior. Furthermore, it allows for efficient use of the upper portion of the wardrobe for storage. Another benefit is that it seals the wardrobe top, preventing dust accumulation and minimizing potential hygiene issues.
Two. Should the entire wardrobe extend to the ceiling?

Most people opt to extend their wardrobes to the ceiling. However, when wardrobes are not extended to the ceiling, it's often perceived that they create a sense of oppression. This is frequently due to insufficient room lighting, which can make the space feel cramped.
One common reason people don't install cabinets to the ceiling is the concern of damaging the existing wall decoration during installation. However, this is not a problem, as the designer will specify the installation details for the cabinets around the perimeter during the initial measurement. The installer can then address these details on-site, and in some cases, even improve the installation. Of course, not all rooms are suitable for installing cabinets to the ceiling, especially many self-built houses with heights of 3 meters or more. Installing cabinets too high can negatively impact the structural integrity of the cabinet panels. Most commercial properties typically have ceiling heights of around 2.8 meters, which are ideal for installing cabinets to the ceiling.
Some people opt for a complete wardrobe solution that extends from the floor to the ceiling, then cover the upper portion with gypsum board and install sliding doors underneath for a modern and aesthetically pleasing look. However, this approach can still create areas where dust accumulates and is difficult to clean. In some cases, these areas can even become havens for pests and insects, creating unsanitary conditions.
