1、Moisture protection
The biggest drawback of diatomaceous mud is its poor water resistance. As a water-soluble decorative material, it is not easy to clean. Currently, it is only suitable for dry interior wall environments in villas, restaurants, private clubs, and homes, and is not suitable for areas directly exposed to water, such as bathrooms, kitchens, or outdoor public spaces.
During routine maintenance, it is also important to avoid exposing the silicone-based paint walls to excessively humid environments. Additionally, when cleaning, do not use wet towels to wipe the walls.
2、Dust Management
There are generally two reasons for wall dust accumulation: 1) excessively dry indoor air, which causes the wall to generate static electricity and attract dust particles; or 2) prolonged periods of vacancy in the indoor space.
Application method: Gently wipe with a duster or clean cloth, or use a vacuum cleaner to remove loose dust.
3、Stain Removal
For stains on diatomaceous earth surfaces, such as pencil marks or footprints, simply wipe them off with a eraser or lightly sand them with fine sandpaper, and they can be easily removed. This can be easily performed by the homeowner.
4、Oil Stain Treatment
If the wall surface is accidentally stained with oil, water, or juice, we understand that due to the strong water absorption capacity of the diatomaceous earth, it is necessary to immediately wipe the liquid from the wall surface. Light stains can be easily removed with a clean cloth dampened with a diluted chlorine-based bleach. For larger areas where the stain has penetrated deeply, a knife can be used to gently scrape it off.
5、Treatment of penetrating stains
If the stains have penetrated deep into the wall, the manufacturer's after-sales service personnel can remove the affected diatomaceous mud by soaking it with water and scraping it off, and then repair the area.
