II. What types of steel-plastic composite pipes are available?
Steel-plastic composite pipes can be classified based on the structure of the pipe material, including: steel strip reinforced steel-plastic composite pipes, seamless steel pipe reinforced steel-plastic composite pipes, perforated steel strip steel-plastic composite pipes, and steel wire mesh frame steel-plastic composite pipes. Currently, steel strip reinforced steel-plastic composite pipes, which are commonly referred to as steel-plastic composite pressure pipes, are the most popular on the market.
1、Steel-Plastic Composite Pressure Pipe
Steel-plastic composite pressure pipes are a new type of pipe material that has been developed in recent years in China. The inner and outer layers are made of polyethylene plastic, with a high-frequency welded galvanized steel band in between. The seven layers are manufactured as a single pipe using extrusion molding and a special hot-melt adhesive. Standard name: Steel-plastic composite pressure pipe, execution standard: CJ/T183-2008.
2、Coated composite steel pipes
The coated composite steel pipe consists of welded steel pipes and seamless steel pipes as the base material, with epoxy resin or polyethylene powder applied to the inner and outer walls. It is a green, corrosion-resistant, non-toxic, and radiation-free coated material used for transporting various fluids. The base pipe, which should be a straight-seam welded steel pipe, must meet the requirements of GB/T3091-2008 for the base pipe; the base pipe, which should be a seamless steel pipe, must meet the requirements of GB/T8163-2008 for the base pipe; and the base pipe, which should be a spiral-seam buried arc welded steel pipe, must meet the requirements of SY/T5037-2000 for the base pipe.
3、Steel wire mesh PVC pipe
This product is developed based on perforated steel strip and plastic pipe. Since the perforated steel strip has lost its high-pressure and oxygen-resistant properties, and only provides partial pressure support, there is no need for the complex processes of forming, welding, and joining steel strips. Instead, it is more efficient to directly wrap and weave steel wire mesh around the pipe wall, which can also provide pressure support. This results in steel wire mesh reinforced plastic pipe, which has similar properties to perforated steel strip and plastic pipe.
