One, how is the fluorocarbon paint sprayed?

1、Air spraying method

The coating is sprayed from the spray gun nozzle, and compressed air generated by the air compressor creates a vacuum at the nozzle, causing the paint to break up and be sprayed as particles onto the surface to be coated. The air pressure from the air compressor ranges from 2-4 kg/cm², and the distance between the nozzle and the surface to be coated is 20-40 cm. The quality of the spray depends on the operator's skill level.

2、Hot Spraying Method

Before application, preheat the coating to 40-60°C. The compressed air should also be preheated to a pressure of 1.7-2 kg/cm². This method saves on control, reduces pollution, and can also increase coating thickness. The air spraying method, which is used in heavy-duty anti-corrosion applications, provides good quality results.

3、High-Pressure, Airless Spraying Method

The high-pressure pump drives the coating to a pressure of 100-200 kg/cm². It is then sprayed through a specially designed nozzle with a small opening (0.2-1 mm), forming fine streams in the air. Due to the strong surface action, these streams transform into fine particles that deposit onto the workpiece surface.

II. Fluorocarbon Paint Spraying Process Flow

1. First, assess the quality of the substrate, check for stains, cracks, and moisture content.

2. Check the surface for flatness and smoothness, ensuring the wall surface is clean, smooth, and free of any adhering particles. The surface should meet the flatness requirement of ≤2mm.

3. Apply the putty, using a specialized, crack-resistant putty formulated for fluorocarbon paint. Mix according to the instructions, ensuring thorough blending. Do not use after 4 hours. Use aluminum alloy guides to apply the putty, starting with vertical application and then horizontal application, maintaining consistent speed and pressure. Apply decorative tape according to the specified grid pattern. After applying the putty, remove the tape section by section. Apply the putty in approximately 4 coats. After the putty layer has dried, sand with 120-grit or 150-grit sandpaper, while also straightening any corners or profiles.

4、Apply primer after the putty powder has been ground smooth, ensuring it meets the requirements. The primer should be applied evenly, and application is not recommended during windy or rainy weather. If the surface has any pinholes or imperfections after the first primer coat, it must be sanded until it meets the required standards. After the primer dries, the surface should have uniform color and gloss, with a smooth, dust-free finish.

5. Apply the coating according to the specified ratio. The fluorocarbon coating must be filtered using a 200-mesh screen. Continuously stir after filtration to prevent sedimentation. Consider factors such as the area to be coated, the number of workers, and the distribution of the area. Typically, multiple workers are assigned to work simultaneously, applying a thicker layer while ensuring that the coating does not drip.

6. Implement appropriate safety measures, and ensure that construction personnel wear respirators and gloves to protect against falling water. The finished surface should be free of drips, unevenness, and discoloration, with a smooth, glossy feel. Finally, clean up the work site.
