One, how to spray fluorocarbon paint

First, thoroughly clean the surface of the fluorocarbon coating wall, removing all dirt and dust, to ensure a smooth and even surface. Then, apply a layer of putty powder and allow it to dry completely before applying the primer and fluorocarbon coating. Finally, perform the necessary finishing work. It is important to note that both the putty powder and the paint must be completely dry before proceeding to the next step.

II. Fluorocarbon Paint Application Process

(1) Construction Preparation

1、Construction materials

(1) Exterior Wall Putty: Includes rough and fine surface leveling putties, and polishing putties for exterior walls.

(2) Matching Primer: Transparent Cement Primer

(3) Intermediate Coat: Yongbao New White Primer

(4) Matching exterior paint: Fluorocarbon paint or architectural curtain wall fluorocarbon paint.

2、Construction tools

Main tools: level, spray gun, scraper, twine, trowel, brush, air compressor, etc.

3、Construction Environment

(1) Doors and windows shall be installed according to the design requirements, and the gaps around the openings shall be sealed and filled.

(2) The wall substrate has been prepared according to design specifications and accepted based on the specified plastering standard. The surface is suitable for spraying. The installation of rainwater pipe brackets and equipment cavity/pipe openings has been completed, and the openings have been filled with cement mortar to create a smooth surface. All wall surfaces must be allowed to dry completely.

(3) Double-row shelving or movable hanging racks must comply with national safety standards, with a minimum distance of 320cm between the outer racks and the wall surface.

(4) Requires on-site provision of 380V and 220V power supply.

(5) All finished doors and windows should be protected in advance.

(2) Substrate preparation

1、Clean and prepare the surface

Remove any loose or uneven surface material. Use a handheld grinder to smooth out high spots and protrusions, preventing excessive thickness when applying the putty.

2、Apply mesh fabric

Apply diluted waterproof putty powder to adhere the crack-resistant fiberglass mesh, then roll and press flat. The crack-resistant fiberglass mesh should have good strength, flexibility, and adhesive properties, with a minimum overlap of 100mm. The fiberglass mesh prevents cracking of the leveling putty and cushions stresses generated by cracking in the plaster layer.

3、Joint filling and sealing

based on the design-specified aluminum plate layout, the grid lines are marked for positioning. The grid gaps (typically 10-25mm wide and 15-20mm deep) are cut using a cutting machine. The edges of the gaps are cut, and the sand within the gaps is removed and cleaned. An interface treatment agent is then applied, followed by filling the gaps with a flexible cement-based mortar to create a concave arc shape (using a small cylindrical rod with a diameter equal to the gap width). The function of the grid gaps serves both practical and aesthetic purposes: preventing large-scale plaster cracking (the mortar is elastic and waterproof), creating a decorative effect that mimics the appearance of aluminum composite panels, and facilitating construction by allowing for leveling and spraying. The arc of the grid gaps should be consistent, with horizontal and vertical alignment. This is achieved using a string line and a level. The size of the blocks should be appropriate, typically 1-2.5 square meters each, while also considering both the facade effect and operational requirements.

4、Use coarse putty powder to level the surface.

Apply self-leveling waterproof rough putty in sections, using aluminum alloy trowels to apply two coats in both directions for each section, with the second coat applied after the first coat has dried. Two people should work together to apply the putty evenly, ensuring straight lines and square corners. The rough putty is used to level the sections, with a smoother surface being preferred. It is also important to control the putty thickness to prevent cracking. The putty should have high bonding strength, good water resistance, good workability, and should not crack. Two-part or single-part polymer cement putty is recommended.

5、Fine surface finish achieved through troweling.

Apply a layer of waterproof and smooth putty powder in all directions, then, after drying, use a grinder or sanding block with fine sandpaper to smooth the surface and remove any loose particles. The putty powder is used to fill uneven surfaces, making the substrate smoother and denser. Also, repair any gaps or cracks. Use 240-360 grit sandpaper, ensuring that no sanding marks or gaps are visible.

6、Polishing Putty

Apply a thin layer of fine-grit putty powder to the substrate, followed by one to two coats. After drying, carefully sand with 600-grit or finer sandpaper, ensuring no sanding marks or irregularities are visible. The putty powder creates a firm, fine, and dense putty layer, similar to the putty used for furniture finishing. After sanding, the surface is ready for coating, resulting in a rich and full coating. Additionally, the putty powder provides waterproofing and prevents excessive penetration of the primer into the substrate, saving on coating material.

III. important considerations for fluorocarbon paint application

1、Construction temperature 0-35℃, the substrate temperature should be at least 5℃.

2. Proper storage is essential to protect materials from moisture, water, and direct sunlight.

3. Uniform gloss, no dripping or overspraying is allowed.

4、The amount of each batch should not be excessive to prevent prolonged setting.

5、Must use dedicated auxiliary materials, and it is strictly prohibited to use water, banana water, alcohol, gasoline, etc.

6. The ideal conditions for application are humidity below 85% and a temperature range of 0-35°C. Avoid application under the following conditions: rain, snow, fog, frost, strong winds, or relative humidity above 85%.

7. After coating at ambient temperature, the paint film can fully solidify within approximately 7 days. It is recommended not to use it prematurely.

8、Safety Measures and Prevention Methods: Ensure good ventilation, wear protective equipment to prevent skin and eye contamination. If paint splashes into the eyes, immediately flush with water and seek medical attention. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the construction environment.
