One. Can fluorocarbon paint be used on walls?

Fluorocarbon paint can be applied to walls. Fluorocarbon paint, also known as fluorocarbon coating, is a coating made from fluorocarbon resins, pigments, and additives, and is one of the most comprehensive performance coatings currently available. Fluorocarbon paint is also known as "the king of coatings." Fluorocarbon paint is widely used in oil tanks, above-ground and underground pipelines, ships, steel structures, bridges, steel mills, power plants, transmission towers, chemical workshops, port machinery, and concrete structures. Anti-corrosion coatings protect steel, non-ferrous metals, and concrete, preventing oxidation and corrosion of metals and pulverization of concrete. Many building facades use metal fluorocarbon coatings.

II. Exterior Fluorocarbon Paint Application Process

Common methods for applying exterior fluorine-based paint include spraying and rolling. The process for applying exterior fluorine-based paint typically involves: substrate preparation → application of a specialized, crack-resistant putty powder → application of a fine-grit putty powder → primer application → fluorine-based paint application.

III. Fluorocarbon Wall Paint Application Process

1. Surface Preparation. Remove loose debris from the wall surface, and scrape off any crumbling concrete. The prepared surface must meet the flatness requirement of ≤2mm, with a basic clean surface, no dust, and no adhered particles.

2、Special anti-cracking putty for full coats of fluorocarbon paint. Mix the putty according to the specified ratio. The putty must be thoroughly mixed by hand using a power drill. The putty should be applied and leveled 4-5 times. After the putty layer dries, it should be sanded. After sanding, any unevenness on the wall surface should be completely eliminated, and the corners and lines should be straightened.

3. Application of polishing putty. Apply polishing putty on a smoothly finished surface, ensuring the surface is free of any scratches or imperfections, especially in corners, drip lines, window sills, and the walls around downspouts. The surface should feel smooth and uniform, with no bumps or irregularities.

4、Apply primer. Apply primer to the completely dry wall surface (the wall must be dry, with a moisture content of less than 8%). (Air pressure should be between 5-8 kg/cm2, and spraying should be done without water). After applying one coat of primer, inspect the wall surface. If any scratches or pinholes are found, they must be smoothed out to meet the required standards. Use 280 or 360 grit wet sandpaper for smoothing, and be careful not to wear through the coating. After smoothing, remove all dust and debris from the wall surface using a cloth. If dust removal is not thorough, the fluorocarbon coating will not be able to achieve a smooth finish. After applying the primer, the color and gloss should be uniform, and the coating surface should be smooth and free of dust.

6、Fluorocarbon coating application. The primer must be completely dry, and the wall surface must be free of dust and debris. The fluorocarbon coating must be filtered using a 200-mesh screen after mixing. The thinner should be continuously stirred during storage to prevent sedimentation. Spray gun model: W-77, nozzle size: 1.5-2.0mm, air pump pressure: 0.3-0.5 MPa.
