One. How to spray industrial paint well

1. Method 1: Before applying paint, it is best to thoroughly clean the surface of the items to be painted, ensuring no water remains. There are many types of paint, and the application requirements for different objects vary. Let's first look at the techniques for spraying: For flat paint, the viscosity of the spray board should be 16-22 seconds, and the distance should be 25-30cm. For high-gloss paint, if the amount of hardener is too much or too little, excessive amounts will increase the brittleness and reduce impact resistance. For matte paint, excessive amounts will increase the gloss, affecting the color. Too little will result in poor hardness, poor abrasion resistance, and easy fading and aging.

2. Method Two: When spraying textured paint, the viscosity should generally be between 30-45 seconds. If the viscosity is too low, the paint will run and expose the substrate. If the viscosity is too high, the texture will shrink and lose its luster. A viscosity that is too low results in a larger texture, while a viscosity that is too high results in a smoother, less textured surface. The spraying process uses a two-coat application method: the first coat should be applied thinly, primarily to wet the substrate. Allow 5-10 minutes or use an air blower for 1-2 minutes before applying the second coat.

3. Method Three: When applying patterned paint, pay attention to adjusting the viscosity to be generally 30-50 seconds. If the viscosity is too low, it is easy to expose the substrate, making it difficult to cover. The resulting pattern will be too flat. If the viscosity is too high, the pattern will not expand properly, resulting in a pattern that is too large and lacks depth. Additionally, adjust the spray to control the ratio of oil output and air pressure, allowing the paint to fully expand. Apply the first coat thinly to cover the base, and then apply the second coat with a slightly larger output to achieve the desired effect. Allow a 2-5 minute interval between coats. If the spray distance is too far, the pattern will be too small. If the spray distance is too close, the pattern will be too large.

4. Method Four: When applying orange-peel finish, first apply one or two coats of primer. Adjust the primer's viscosity according to the specified requirements, mix thoroughly for 16-22 seconds, and allow it to sit for 15-20 minutes or blow it dry with compressed air for 2-5 minutes before applying. Then, use a paint with a viscosity greater than the paint used for flat spraying. Reduce the ratio of the thinner accordingly. Finally, adjust the air pressure and spraying speed to achieve different orange-peel effects. Note that the primer must be completely dry before applying the paint; when mixing the paint, use as little thinner as possible.

Two. important considerations for industrial paint spraying

1、 The construction environment should be kept clean and well-ventilated. Industrial paints should be filtered of impurities before use, and the grinding process should be performed carefully.

2. When mixing industrial paints, pay attention to the appropriate selection of products. Add diluents and hardeners in the correct proportions to prevent paint film defects such as wrinkles, orange peel, and sagging.

3. During spraying, the paint should not be applied too thickly in each layer, and the drying time interval for the paint film should be strictly controlled.

4、Before installation, metal substrates must be cleaned and rust-proofed to prevent corrosion.

5. Metal fittings and color-coded lines must be carefully installed and protected with covering, to prevent industrial paint from spilling and contaminating the surrounding areas, which could affect quality and aesthetics.

6. If working during the rainy season, control the environmental humidity and use a hygrometer for monitoring as needed. If the humidity exceeds the allowable limit, add an appropriate amount of drying agent to the paint to prevent the paint film from becoming whitish.
