1、General stain cleaning:once paint on a wall is found to have stains, it should be cleaned immediately. For water-resistant walls, stains can be removed by wiping with a cloth. After cleaning, simply wipe with a dry towel. For non-water-resistant walls, stains can be removed with a rubber eraser or by wiping with a towel dampened with a cleaning agent, followed by gentle wiping with a clean towel.
2、Cleaning of specific stains:For stubborn stains on strong, difficult-to-clean wall surfaces, lightly sand off the stains with fine sandpaper, then make minor repairs with wall paint.
3、Wall mold:In summer, high humidity and frequent rainfall can lead to mold growth on walls. For white walls, cleaning with diluted bleach can effectively remove mold and disinfect. For colored walls, it is recommended to use a professional wall mold removal agent.
4、Wall Cracking:Directly scrape away the cracked areas, then repair with matching paint. Finally, use fine sandpaper to smooth the joints between the new and old paint, enhancing the aesthetics of the wall.
II. Methods for cleaning walls coated with powder coatings
1、Eraser
Erasers are commonly used for removing pencil, chalk, and crayon marks from surfaces.
2、Toothpaste
Toothpaste is a household essential, and besides brushing teeth, it can also help with cleaning tasks such as removing crayon marks, footprints, and handprints. If a rubber eraser is ineffective, try using toothpaste. Apply a small amount of toothpaste to a damp cloth and gently wipe the wall with your fingertips. You should see a noticeable cleaning effect. once the stains are removed, simply rinse with water.
3、Cleaning agents
Dish soap can be used not only for washing dishes but also for cleaning stains on painted walls. However, this cleaning method is only suitable for small areas of stains, and large areas should be handled by professional contractors.
4、White shoe polish
Minor stains can be lightly buffed with fine sandpaper, and then treated with white shoe polish. However, this method is only recommended for minor, small-area stains.
5、Calcium carbonate powder
If the white wall has widespread stains, we can apply calcium-based putty powder onto a cloth. This putty powder will react chemically with the stains on the wall, and then gently rub with sandpaper to restore the wall's shine.
6、Touch up wall surfaces as needed
