I.Simulated stone paintHow to renovate wall surfaces
Each type of architectural coating product has a specific lifespan. After reaching its lifespan, issues such as aging and damage may occur. Generally, high-quality raw materials and professionally executed construction with complete processing techniques, such as artificial stone coatings, can have a lifespan of 15-20 years.

If the wall surface shows slight aging, simply remove the top layer of coating and apply another coat of paint to extend the coating's lifespan. If the wall surface shows significant aging, consider renovating the wall.
The application conditions for exterior faux stone paint renovation require a temperature of 5°C or above, relative humidity below 85%, and cannot be performed in rainy weather. The substrate surface must be free of oil, dust, loose particles, etc. The wall's pH should be less than 10, and the moisture content should be less than 10%. Therefore, faux stone paint cannot be applied to walls that are wet or damp due to rain or humidity.
Two. Construction method for renovating old walls with imitation stone paint.
1. Clean the wall: Remove the putty using a scraper. For putty layers that cannot be removed with a scraper, use a small hammer to gently tap, but only if there is no hollow sound and the putty remains firmly in place. In this case, the existing substrate can be retained.
2. Clean the wall surface: Thoroughly clean the surface of any loose dirt and oil stains using a detergent or alkaline solution. Then, use a high-pressure water gun to thoroughly rinse away the remaining coating.
3. Repairing the wall surface: Completely repair damaged areas on the exterior wall using a flexible, water-resistant putty powder, then level the entire wall surface.
4. Apply a primer: After the putty layer's alkalinity (pH value) is less than 10, apply a primer. The primer must not be diluted with water and should be applied carefully to avoid overspraying.
5. Apply artificial stone paint: After the primer is completely dry, apply two coats of artificial stone paint with a thickness of 2-3mm. When applying artificial stone paint, avoid excessive dilution, especially with dark-colored paints, as this can lead to unevenness and blooming.
