1、Gasoline, diesel, or naphtha
The affected area is covered with solvent-based paint. Immediately wipe it off with a cloth or cotton pad dampened with gasoline, kerosene, or thinner, and then clean it with a detergent solution. Ensure that the entire affected area is thoroughly cleaned.
2、 Turpentine
If the surface is contaminated with latex paint, asphalt, or other sticky substances, and the contamination is recent and the substance has not yet solidified, it can be cleaned with turpentine. For old stains (that have solidified), first soak the stain with a mixture of ether and turpentine (1:1), wait approximately 10 minutes for the stain to soften, then scrub with gasoline or benzene, and finally rinse with water.
3、Ammonia and Boric Acid
To remove stains from latex paint, asphalt, or other substances, you can also use a 10-20% ammonia solution or soak the area in a 2% borax solution. once the stains have dissolved, gently scrub to remove them.
4、Wind Oil Essence
Apply a small amount of fragrant oil to the stain and rub with your hands several times. The latex paint will detach, and then wash with water. Fragrant oil has strong cleaning power and is specifically designed for removing oil. The fragrance is long-lasting and pleasant. It is commonly used in many household cleaning products and provides good results.
5、Lard
If nylon fabric is stained with latex paint, you can first apply lard and rub it, then wash it with a detergent, and finally rinse it with clean water. This method is effective and restores the nylon fabric to its original condition.
6、Olive oil
If you have olive oil at home, apply a small amount to the areas where you have applied latex paint and gently rub it in. Allow it to fully absorb for a few minutes, then clean your hands with soap. This method can help prevent skin irritation.
7、Flower water
If you can't find olive oil, hairspray should work. Apply hairspray to the areas affected by latex paint. After a short time, clean with soap.
8、Peanut oil/Safflower oil
If neither of the above options is available, you can use peanut oil or vegetable oil. Rub it onto the area with latex paint and then add a small amount of dish soap, and scrub with a cloth. Finally, wipe with a clean cloth to remove the paint residue.
9、Banana oil
If you are concerned about strong odors, you can apply banana oil to the areas affected by latex paint and then clean with a mild detergent. Banana oil will not leave any lingering odor. Alternatively, you can purchase mineral spirits from a paint store for cleaning.
10、White liquor + alcohol
If latex paint stains from latex paint have been accidentally spilled, you can use the dissolving properties of white liquor + alcohol, which can dissolve in various solutions. Mix 60°C white liquor, alcohol (95%), and water, and immerse the stained fabric for about 30 minutes. Then, wash with water until the stain is removed, and finally rinse with clean water.
11、Small knife
If latex paint or asphalt stains are present on clothing, scrape off the asphalt first with a small knife. Alternatively, soak the affected area in a small amount of tetrachloroethylene (available at pharmacies) for a short time, or wash it in warm water.
