II. How to calculate the price of fire-resistant coatings
1、Calculate coating rate
Theoretical application rate = (volume solid content × 10) / dry film thickness
For example, a fire-resistant coating has a solid content of 63%, a specified dry film thickness of 75 micrometers, and a theoretical application rate of 63*10/75 = 8.4 m²/L.
Actual application rate = Theoretical application rate (1 - loss percentage)
For example: If the actual application rate is 8.4 (1 - 40%), considering a previously calculated theoretical application rate, the actual application rate is calculated as follows: 8.4 (1 - 40%) = 8.04㎡/L.
2、Actual usage calculation
The actual amount of coating = Area x Dry Film Thickness / 10 x Volume Solid Content x (1 - Loss %)
For example, if the area to be coated with fire-resistant coating is 2000㎡, and two coats of fire-resistant coating with a solid content of 76% are to be applied, each coat at a thickness of 150 microns, with an estimated loss of 40%, the actual usage would be: 2000 * 150 / 10 * 76 * (1 - 40%) = 658L.
3、Unit price calculation per square meter
Fire-resistant coating unit price per square meter = dry film thickness x unit price / 10 x solid content volume
For example: If a wall needs to be coated with fire-resistant paint (at a cost of 32 yuan/L), with a dry film thickness of 120 micrometers and a 50% volume solid content, then the price per square meter would be calculated as: (120 * 32) / (10 * 50) = 7.68 yuan/㎡.
