One、Does fire-resistant coating require re-inspection?
Needs to be re-tested.
Before installing fire-resistant coatings, they need to undergo a re-examination. Purchased fire-resistant coatings can be sent to qualified laboratories for testing, and the final coating thickness can be determined based on the test results. If the materials pass the tests and have fire-resistant properties, they can effectively close and prevent moisture from entering.
Two. Requirements for Re-inspection of Fire-Resistant Coatings

1、The coating thickness can be measured using a coating thickness gauge. The number of samples to be tested should not be less than the minimum sample size specified in the standard table, nor should it be less than 3 pieces. Five measurement points should be taken for each piece, and the average thickness of the dry coating film at each point, which is the average of three measurement points spaced 50mm apart, should be recorded.
2. The thickness of the thin-film fire-resistant coating can be measured using a coating thickness measuring device. The measurement method should comply with the requirements specified in CECS24, "Application Technology Specification for Fire-Resistant Coatings for Steel Structures."
3. For the thickness of the fire-resistant coating, the measurement method should comply with the requirements of CECS24, "Technical Specification for Application of Fire-Resistant Coatings for Steel Structures." The measurement method should use both pin testing and steel ruler measurement. The thickness and deviation values of the coating should be evaluated according to the requirements of GB50205, "Quality Acceptance Specifications for Steel Structure Engineering Construction."
4. The appearance quality of the coating can be inspected and evaluated according to the provisions of GB 50205, "Code for Acceptance of Quality of Construction Works of Steel Structure," based on different materials.
5. The fire resistance limit of the coating is tested and determined according to the provisions of the national standard "Method for Fire Testing of Building Components" GB9978-88.
6. The method for testing the fire-resistant coating adhesion strength shall refer to the adhesion strength test standard specified in Clause 6.12 of GB9153-88 for "Synthetic Resin Emulsion Sand-Texture Architectural Coatings."
