One、Fire-resistant coating application requirements
1、The fire protection coating for steel structures should be carried out by a qualified and trained professional construction team. The safety technical and labor protection requirements during construction should be implemented in accordance with the relevant national regulations in force.
2. once the steel structure is installed and connected with its associated hanging rods, catwalks, pipe racks, and other related components, and after these components have been successfully installed and inspected, fire-resistant coating application can proceed.
3. Before construction, the steel structure surface should be cleaned of rust, and appropriate anti-corrosion measures should be determined based on the intended use. The rust removal and anti-corrosion treatments must comply with the relevant provisions in the current "Code for Construction and Acceptance of Steel Structure Engineering."

4、All debris on the steel structure surface should be thoroughly cleaned. After filling and sealing the gaps at the connections with fire-resistant coatings or other fire-resistant materials, construction can proceed.
5. Fire-resistant coatings should be applied before interior decoration and in a condition where they will not be damaged by subsequent construction work. During application, areas that do not require fire protection, as well as other objects, should be covered and protected. Newly applied coatings should be protected from contamination and mechanical damage.
6. During construction and before the coating dries and hardens, the ambient temperature should be maintained between 5~38℃, and the relative humidity should not exceed 90%. Good ventilation is required. Avoid working when wind speeds exceed 5m/s, or during rainy weather, or when there is condensation on the surface of the components.
II. Requirements for Applying Fire-Resistant Coating as a base Layer
1、once the steel substrate has been properly cleaned and treated for rust prevention, and all dust and debris have been removed, the construction can proceed.
2. The first layer should be sprayed 2~3 times, with each layer not exceeding a thickness of 2.5mm. The second layer must be applied after the first layer has dried completely.
3、During application, ensure that the coating completely covers the surface and forms a clear outline.
4、The operator should carry a measuring gauge to check the coating thickness and ensure that the application meets the design specifications.
5. When the design requires a smooth and even coating surface, perform a leveling treatment on the final coat to ensure a uniform and smooth exterior surface.
III. Requirements for Applying Fire-Resistant Coatings
1、once the underlying layer meets the design specifications and is sufficiently dry, surface layer application can proceed.
2. Apply a coating 1~2 times, ensuring complete coverage of the underlying layer. The fire-resistant coating should be applied at a rate of 0.5~1 kg/㎡.
3. The surface should have uniform color and smooth joints.
