One. Are waterproof coatings applied by brushing directly?
If the substrate has not been pre-treated, it is not possible to directly apply waterproofing materials.
Prior to applying waterproof coating, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the surface of any debris, dirt, and other contaminants. Waterproof coatings share some characteristics with paints and require a clean surface to ensure good adhesion. If the surface contains dust or water stains, it will reduce the effectiveness of the waterproof coating, so it cannot be applied directly.

Two. Steps for applying waterproof coating yourself:
1. After preparing the waterproof coating, we need to thoroughly clean the surface, removing any dust and debris. The surface should be smooth and free of oil. If there are any cracks, they should be filled with cement mortar to create a smooth and even surface.
2. Next, add water and mortar to the mixing bucket and mix thoroughly with an electric mixer until there are no lumps.
3. Apply to the wall surface. Generally, two coats are required, but each coat must dry completely before applying the second coat.
4. After the waterproofing layer is completely dry, maintenance work is required, primarily involving watering. This maintenance should be carried out for approximately 2-3 days, after which the waterproofing layer can be tested for dryness.
