One、How to store leftover waterproof coating
1. Waterproof coatings should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse, protected from rain and direct sunlight, and away from heat sources and ignition sources. The storage temperature for the coatings is generally maintained between 5-25°C, so it is important to prevent freezing in winter.
2. Upon receiving the coating materials, proper categorization and registration are required. This includes filling out registration cards with details such as product name, category, model, quantity, quality, manufacturer, production date, shelf life, and storage location, to facilitate inventory management and selection.

3. Coatings should be stored in batches according to their type, color, manufacturing date, and classification, following the principle of first-in, first-out (FIFO) to prevent products from expiring and causing waste.
4. Coating products must be stored separately and should not be stored with other flammable and explosive materials. The storage area must be kept clean and free of any oily waste.
5. It is prohibited to mix paints within the paint storage area, as this could release flammable, explosive, or toxic gases, leading to safety incidents. Paint buckets must be sealed and free of cracks or openings, and paints should not be stored in open containers.
6. When coating products are stored under specified conditions and the shelf life has expired, they should be tested according to the product's technical standards for various parameters. If the test results comply with the relevant requirements of the technical standards, the products can still be used. Coating products that do not meet the requirements should be handled promptly.
Two. How long should waterproof coating be stored?
The original sealed product should be stored in a dry and cool environment. Under normal storage and transportation conditions, the product has a shelf life of one year. For opened waterproof coatings, the shelf life will be significantly reduced, so it should be used as soon as possible. Waterproof coatings that have exceeded their shelf life should not be used, as they may have deteriorated and using them could affect the waterproofing effect of the renovation.
