One. What causes the bubbling of waterproof coating?
The primary cause of air bubbles in waterproof coatings is premature application of water after the coating film has not fully dried. This occurs when water is applied to the surface of the coating film before it is completely dry, or when condensation water on the wall flows into the corners, preventing the coating in that area from drying properly. The un-dried coating film is then dissolved by water, which penetrates into the film and causes it to expand and bubble due to water absorption. This results in leakage at that point.
Two. How to handle bubbling in waterproof coatings

Remove any remaining areas with bubbling issues down to a solid substrate, and then reapply waterproofing.
III. How to Prevent Air Bubbles in Waterproof Coatings
1、Enhance indoor air circulation to facilitate the evaporation of moisture within the coating, thereby accelerating the drying process.
2. During winter construction, due to low temperatures, high humidity, and poor ventilation, the drying time will be extended. The immersion test should be delayed until the coating is completely dry.
3. After completion of outdoor construction, appropriate protective measures should be taken immediately to prevent premature drying and subsequent damage from rain.
4、Before the waterproofing coating film dries, if there is condensation on the wall, wipe it dry with a towel to prevent condensation from accumulating in corners and soaking the un-dried waterproofing coating.
