One, how to spray anti-corrosion coating
1、Dry spray method
Dry spray method is a commonly used method. Anti-corrosion coatings are compressed air-fed through a pipeline to a nozzle where the coating and water mix and are sprayed onto the work surface. However, some of the sprayed material will bounce back and fall, and it is desirable to minimize this bounce-back. The spraying force should not be too large or too small; instead, the sprayer should be moved up and down to ensure a uniform coating thickness.

2、Wet Spray Method
Wet spraying method involves pumping a highly flowable material through a pipeline to a nozzle, where it is then sprayed onto the work surface with high-pressure air. This method consists of 4 steps: mixing, pumping, spraying, and curing. This method is commonly used for repairs and direct application of coatings. The wet spraying method is characterized by its simple operation, lack of the need for molds, low cost, and fast speed.
II. Spray Application Process for Anti-Corrosion Coatings
Please find detailed information on the application method for anti-corrosion coatings using wet spraying:
1、Construction site requirements
The ambient temperature inside the construction site should not be lower than 5°C, and the temperature of the floor and ceiling should not be lower than 3°C. Proper ventilation should be maintained during construction to promote faster drying of the coating.
2、Substrate preparation
Apply directly to the floor or wall surface. The surface must be solid, free of loose particles, oil, dust, and moisture. If the surface is affected by mold, it must be cleaned first before scraping and applying. For areas with pits and holes, determine if repair and leveling are required based on the actual condition. If scraping or applying onto other boards, ensure they are rust-proofed, cleaned of rust or oil, or have a primer applied. Some surfaces require thorough wetting and slight drying before spraying, as excessively dry surfaces can cause air bubbles and voids.
3、 Spray application
Pour the anti-corrosion coating into the spray gun and begin spraying. When spraying, pay attention to the use of the spray gun nozzle to avoid clogging the nozzle due to improper fit, which can make it difficult to spray and cause clogging.
4、important Considerations
After using spraying equipment, it should be cleaned immediately with water. If the equipment needs to be stopped mid-use, the materials must be sealed to prevent drying, and both the absorbent area and the spray gun should be submerged in water to prevent drying and the formation of lumps. Remaining materials must be sealed and stored. Dried or caked materials must not be used. Please use within the expiration date; once opened, use as soon as possible.
