Wood wax oil is a common term for plant oil wax coatings in China, a natural wood coating similar to paint but distinct from it. The main ingredients include refined flaxseed oil, palm wax, and other natural plant oils and waxes, which are combined with other natural components. It is primarily used for coating wood surfaces, both indoors and outdoors, to achieve multi-dimensional, multi-angle, and multi-layered protection against corrosion, water resistance, moisture resistance, insect infestation, cracking, and deformation.
Wood wax can penetrate deep into the wood fibers and form a film, and it can also create a multi-dimensional, interwoven barrier on the surface of the wood, with strong adhesion and excellent weather resistance, providing comprehensive protection from the inside out.
II. How to apply wood oil to carbonized wood before use
1. Select the appropriate wood oil, adjusting the color and gloss level according to design requirements. If necessary, add a pigment suspension. Pigment suspensions contain fine particles and offer better UV resistance.
2. Before applying oil, thoroughly remove any loose or dirty carbonized wood surfaces, and smooth the surface with a sanding cloth.
3. Begin applying the coating, typically by first applying a coat of oil, followed by installation. After installation, apply a full coat of oil to all surfaces. Ensure that all surfaces are properly coated.
