One. PPR pipes are used for water supply or drainage?
PPR pipes are used for water supply, but they are primarily used in interior renovation projects for water supply systems. For urban water and sanitation construction projects, PVC pipes are typically used for water supply.
Two. Characteristics and applications of PPR water pipes

1、Excellent heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and anti-scaling properties.
PPR pipe operating water temperature is 95°C, with short-term use temperatures up to 120°C. It can be used continuously at 60°C and 1.2 MPa pressure. It is chemically inert to most ions in water and chemicals within the building, and will not rust, corrode, or promote bacterial growth. It can prevent pipe scaling and blockage, as well as rust and staining in sinks and bathtubs.
2、 Lightweight, energy-efficient PPR pipes are lightweight, have high strength, and good flexibility.
PPR pipe density ranges from 0.89-0.91 g/cm³, which is only one-ninth of steel pipe and one-tenth of copper pipe. Its compressive strength can reach 5.0 MPa or higher (50 kg/cm²), with good toughness and impact resistance. Its thermal conductivity at 20°C is 0.23-0.24 W/mk, which is one-hundredth of that of steel pipe (43-52 W/mk) and copper pipe (333 W/mk). When used for hot water pipelines, it offers excellent thermal insulation and energy-saving performance.
3、Easy and reliable installation
Due to the excellent heat fusion properties of polypropylene, heat fusion bonding is used to connect pipe and pipe fittings made of the same material into a single unit. No threading or swaging is required; a joint can be completed in seconds, providing a secure and reliable connection, especially when connecting with metal pipes and water-containing equipment. High-quality nickel-plated copper fittings are used to ensure safety and prevent leaks.
4、Aesthetic appearance
Smooth inner and outer walls of PPR pipes result in low flow resistance and aesthetically pleasing appearance. Long service life: The pipe system can operate for 50-100 years under normal conditions.
