I. Construction Process for Sunboard Roof
1、Embedding Installation Method
The protective film on the solar panel awning can interfere with the bonding to the sealant. Therefore, the protective film covering the embedded portion should be removed before embedding.
When embedding solar panel awnings, appropriate embedment depth and expansion space are required. If the embedment depth is too small, the solar panel awning may detach due to wind pressure or other loads. If the expansion space is insufficient, the solar panel awning may also experience stress due to expansion, leading to damage.

2、Screw Installation Method
Screw spacing should be appropriately configured based on the board thickness. Too small or too large spacing is undesirable. If the spacing is too small, it can sometimes cause stress due to excessive tightness, leading to damage. If the spacing is too large, it may cause the solar panel and awning to become unstable. When using self-tapping screws to directly fix the solar panel and awning, the larger the screw spacing, the less likely the board is to be damaged due to stress.
3、Dry assembling method
"Dry" assembly refers to systems that do not use sealant. This is because there may be situations where the expansion of the panels exceeds the extension limit of the sealant, or for aesthetic reasons. The advantage of a dry assembly system is that the sealant is compressed within the profile (aluminum alloy profile), allowing the panels to move freely during expansion and loading.
4、Wet installation method
This installation system is primarily used for small structures, such as car parks, station canopies, awnings, greenhouses, and other applications where glass is replaced. When using a wet installation method, the key requirement is that the sealing system must be able to withstand the movement of the panels, allowing for thermal expansion without compromising the bonding strength between the panels and the frame.
II. Installation Specifications for PC Solar Panel Canopy
1、 Before installation, remove the protective film from the solar panel awning along the edges, leaving space for pressing. After installation, completely remove the protective film. Do not install panels with the protective film still attached and then cut the film along the pressing lines, as this can easily leave scratches on the panels and cause them to crack along the cut lines.
2. When fixing solar panels with screws, the hole diameter should be more than 0.5 times the diameter of the screw to prevent deformation and damage to the panel due to thermal expansion and contraction.
3、PVC seals can corrode the panel material. When installing solar panels, it is necessary to select a sealant and gasket that are compatible with the polycarbonate backing material. The use of PVC seals and gaskets is strictly prohibited.
4. The solar panel and awning board surfaces should not come into contact with alkaline substances or corrosive organic solvents, such as alkalis, amines, ketones, aldehydes, halogenated compounds, aromatic compounds, and formaldehyde-based alcohols.
5、Please use the specified sealant. Other types of sealants may corrode the panels, making them brittle and prone to breakage.
6、The "flexible" solar panel awning refers to the ability to be bent into a smooth, curved shape, not to be bent into any arbitrary shape.
