One. What are the causes of decorative paper lifting at the edges?
1、The substrate surface is not properly cleaned.
If the substrate is not properly prepared before applying decorative paper, or if the substrate surface is rough, excessively dry, or damp, the adhesive and paint may not adhere firmly to the substrate, which can cause the decorative paper to lift or peel.

2、Not fully dry.
After applying the decorative paper, close doors and windows to allow it to dry naturally. Avoid exposure to wind, direct sunlight, or moisture, as these conditions can affect the adhesive strength and cause the decorative paper to curl or detach.
3、Insufficient adhesion strength
The adhesive strength of the decorative paper is insufficient. After the decorative paper is applied, the tension on the paper surface exceeds the adhesive strength of the backing, which eventually leads to edge lifting.
4、Incorrect installation
Applying wallpaper improperly can also cause it to curl at the edges. For example, if you apply too much force while installing, you might damage the wallpaper, or if you don't use a smoothing tool to compact it after application, it can also curl.
Two. What to do about decorative paper lifting at the edges?
If decorative paper edges curl or lift, it can be re-applied: if the local area is not properly treated, it can be cleaned and re-glued with adhesive. If there is a large-scale curl or lifting of the decorative paper, it is recommended to remove the old decorative paper and re-apply it. Note that after removing the old decorative paper, it is necessary to clean the substrate to ensure that the surface is clean and smooth, otherwise, even if the new decorative paper is applied, it may still curl.
