One, Can particleboard be used in home renovation?
Density board can be used for home renovations, primarily for reinforcing wooden floors, doors, partitions, and furniture, etc.

Particleboard contains formaldehyde, and low-quality particleboard manufactured by unbranded manufacturers has a higher formaldehyde content. However, formaldehyde emissions are not only from particleboard; the main component of adhesives used in home renovations is formaldehyde. Examples include: latex-based primers used on substrate surfaces, white glue used for attaching wood panels, and wallpaper adhesive. These adhesives contain formaldehyde and can release pollutants into the indoor environment. Therefore, regardless of whether particleboard is used in a home, formaldehyde emissions will occur.
Two. important considerations for using particleboard.
1. Regularly maintain the dryness and cleanliness of the particleboard. Avoid excessive water washing and prolonged submersion of the particleboard. If the particleboard has oil or stains, promptly remove them. You can use a mild, neutral household cleaner mixed with warm water for cleaning. It is best to use a specialized particleboard cleaning and protection liquid that is compatible with the particleboard. Do not use alkaline solutions, soapy water, or other corrosive liquids on the surface of the particleboard. Also, avoid using flammable materials like gasoline or other hot liquids to wipe the particleboard.
2. It is recommended to place a wiping pad at the entrance to prevent dust from entering and damaging the particle board. Heavy items should be placed stably. When moving furniture, please lift and carry instead of dragging.
3. For stains and oil on particleboard surfaces, please use household cleaning agents. Avoid using large amounts of water to clean particleboard. For stains on particleboard surfaces, generally, a non-dripping damp mop can be used to wipe them clean. If chocolate, grease, juice, or beverages come into contact with the surface, simply wipe with warm water and a mild cleaning agent. For stains from lipstick, crayons, ink, etc., a gentle wipe with methanol or acetone is recommended.
4、In winter, it is important to increase the humidity of the particleboard surface. Use a damp mop to clean the surface, and appropriately increase the surface moisture, which can effectively prevent the formation of gaps and cracks in the particleboard. If cracks occur in specific areas, please promptly notify the sales unit for local repair. After repair, appropriately increase the surface moisture to facilitate the recovery of the particleboard.
5. Particleboard should be avoided from direct exposure to intense sunlight and prolonged exposure to high temperatures from artificial light sources, as this can cause premature cracking and aging of the particleboard surface. During rainy seasons, ensure windows are closed to prevent moisture from soaking the particleboard. Additionally, proper ventilation is important to dissipate indoor humidity and maintain a normal indoor temperature, which will also contribute to the extended lifespan of the particleboard.
