One、How to deal with mold on particleboard
If the particle board has developed mold due to a lack of timely mold prevention measures, do not worry excessively. Simply place it in a location with suitable temperature and sunlight, and then spray with a wood mold remover to eliminate the mold.
II. How to Prevent Mold Growth on Particleboard
1、First, ensure that the bottom of the particleboard in the warehouse is protected against moisture. When placing the particleboard, maintain a certain distance from the floor.
2. Apply a thin layer of wood anti-mold agent to the particleboard surface to effectively prevent mold growth.

3. Ensure adequate ventilation within the warehouse at all times. During the "return" season (when temperatures and humidity increase in coastal southern regions from March to April), doors and windows should be kept closed.
4. Place bags of quicklime or desiccants within the warehouse to effectively absorb moisture from the air, thereby reducing humidity and preventing mold growth.
5. If the warehouse is sealed, it is recommended to utilize the dehumidifying function of the air conditioning system or use a dehumidifier to maintain a dry environment within the warehouse.
6. After a while, expose the particle board to sunlight for drying. During the drying process, avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures to prevent damage to its stability.
7. When purchasing particleboard, it is preferable to have the manufacturer apply a thin film to the entire surface of the particleboard. This helps to minimize direct contact between the particleboard and air, thereby reducing the risk of mold growth.
Three. Are mold on particleboard harmful to humans?
Mold on particleboard can be harmful to humans. It is important to avoid contact with these molds as much as possible and to avoid direct contact with your hands. These molds contain certain aflatoxins, which can be carcinogenic if ingested. If mold appears on particleboard furniture, it should be cleaned immediately to prevent mold growth.
