One, should plywood be coated with fire-resistant paint?
Whether to apply fire-resistant coating to plywood depends primarily on the intended application.
If used on fine wood panels that require fire resistance, such as those in concert halls and hotels, it is necessary to apply a fire-resistant coating. This coating should be applied in two coats.

If the material is used for ordinary substrates such as particleboard, and is not intended for use in fire-rated public areas, it is generally not necessary to apply fire-retardant coatings. However, if the user prefers to apply a fire-retardant coating, that is also possible.
Second, how to apply fire-resistant coating to plywood.
1、Clean the substrate. During the processing and installation of the particle board, any oil, glue, mortar, asphalt, or other contaminants on the surface should be removed using warm water, soapy water, or alkaline solution.
2. Ensure the materials are in good condition. Wood fire-resistant coatings must not be mixed with other coatings or used after being mixed with other ingredients.
3. During construction, the complete operating procedures and correct construction methods for applying patching putty, full-coat putty, grinding sand, and painting should be followed.
4、When painting particleboard indoors, all doors and windows should be closed after each coat, and a designated person should be responsible for opening and closing them to maintain proper ventilation.
5、After applying fire-resistant coating, promptly clean up any coating that has dripped onto the floor or splashed onto the walls.
6. Prevent writing or drawing on the finished fire-resistant coating on the particleboard, as this can cause contamination or damage.
Note: The fire-resistant coating for particleboard can be applied in environments above 5°C. The optimal application temperature is 15~25°C.
