One, Installation steps for acoustic ceiling panels
1、Construction Preparation: Prepare construction materials according to the design drawings, including (but not limited to) main and secondary structural members, anchor bolts, and sound-absorbing panels.
2、String Line Marking: Primarily involves marking the string line for the main structural elements and the location of the supporting beams. based on the design drawings and specific site conditions, the positions of the supporting beams and hanging points are marked on the underside of the floor. The spacing between the supporting beams and the spacing between the hanging points should generally be within 1.0~1.2m. The string line should be clearly marked and accurately positioned.

3、Suspension System Fixation: Galvanized steel wire suspension. Since active, modular suspended ceilings typically do not consider human access, the suspension system is relatively simple. Currently, the most common method is to fix it to the structure using nails or expansion bolts, with the other end securely tied to the circular hole of the main beam.
4、Install Studs: The main and secondary studs should be installed simultaneously from the same direction. The construction procedure is as follows:- Position: According to the pre-determined position of the main stud (large stud) and the specified elevation line, initially position the stud approximately.- Level and Align: Adjust the stud to the correct level and alignment.- Fix Side Studs: Secure the side studs.- Connect Main Studs: Connect the main studs.
5、Install sound-absorbing panels: After installing and leveling the metal frame, the sound-absorbing panels can be placed within the frame formed by the main and secondary metal frames. The panels can be supported on the top of the metal frames.
Two. important installation considerations for acoustic ceiling panels.
1、Close collaboration between different trades is essential. The location and size of holes and light fixtures must be agreed upon.
2、When cutting acoustic panels, the angle between the blade and the panel surface should be less than 45 degrees. Also, ensure that you first cut the larger surface and then the smaller surface.
3. There are two methods for connecting small and medium-sized timber: one involves directly connecting the small timber pieces, cutting them to the required dimensions and attaching them to the ends of the larger timber. This method is convenient for construction, but results in a step at the connection point. The other method involves cutting the ends of the pre-cut small timber pieces and attaching the resulting upright portions directly to the ends of the larger timber, creating a flat surface on the lower side of the timber.
